For most of us, flying dream mean out body rises from the earth, but flying can also be symbolized by being inside flying vehicles, in which case you are usually not flying under your own power. In the Freudian view, flying represents exhibitionists wishes or tendencies; sexual pleasure; the desire to recapture childhood experiences of being rocked or of swinging. For Jungians, flying represents having a raised consciousness; seeing or need a new perspective. Flying can represent a false sense of inflation; acting in a manner not true to yourself; not being grounded, hence split in your energy or intentions. Perhaps you need to rise above it all.
If your dream body is that of a young boy or girl, it may represent the desire to remain a child and not face responsibilities. If flying in outer space, it may signal you are developing or need to develop the ability to look at yourself in relationship to the world world, or the entire universe. You may be expanding your spiritual life, since flying can also represent a union of spirit or matter.
Consider the east of difficulty with which you fly, what you see while flying, and what you do. What do you gain by adopting or maintain this perspective? Do not forget to look down and see what you are flying over.

My dream was of having a winged outit surgically stitched to my legs so I could fly on wires. I flew on wires and it was easy. Then I was handed needles and surgical blade to take the stitches out to remove the garment, I did this all my self and stitched the gaping wounds…there was no pain or fear,

I’ve always had dreams of flying. Most of the time I felt like the Greatest American Hero. Take off is great but my landing is horrible. I get real high and get scared to land. I close my eyes while landing. Always a safe landing. Lastnight I dreamed I was dressed a white lace outfit. Angelic Like. I saved a toddler and brought it to safety, however I had a sense of fear and could not utter a word. As I looked to fly away I was being followed by 2 men in a truck with guns. I flew where I could, ran, and ducked. When I got to a clearing to fly I was restricted by electric wires and white tents. I became worried. And without thought, I said to myself, I will squeez through the wires. I got out safe. And found myself in a familiar neighborhood however something about it was creepy. All over the house I was entering signs posted said, FEAR, FEAR, FEAR, etc. I walked in and no one was there. Then a face appeared but I was not sure who it was, but I felt a sense of relief. I have no idea what this means. As of this dream I mastered my flying.

In my dreams, I’m very relaxed in mind. I fly and I often look around at everything without worries or stress. I feel nervous only when I have to come back down to earth, and when my feet touch upon the soil. In my eyes, everything is yellow and dim blue. I fly with strength and I see the earth for how it used to be before the buildings and streets. I can see the covered lands and the Gods who surround me with their chains of thought. But only with closed eyes, and within one’s dreams, I bear the sign of times … covered in one corner of the earth, but only seen in mere Dreams. I am a Gift….

since i was about 4 – 6 years old, i’ve had dreams where i literally fly throughout the sky. it’s very lucid as well. the scenery is very illuminated, and “neon” if you will… just very colourful, very rich and saturated in color… rolling green hills, blue skys, puffy white clouds, moutain tops, you can feel the sun’s heat, and the warmth and happiness it creates, as well as the perfect temperature. as for what happens in the dream, i just run, jump 3 times and i rise in altitude and just fly around! it’s the best feeling ever, i feel almost like a bird. eventually i land walk around and explore, then 3 running jumps and i’m off! it’s gnarly how i can actually feel my stomach turn as i pick up off the ground, and as i steady out it goes away. this goes on for what seems like hours… then i just cant fly anymore and i wake up. i can maneuver all around, and i have full control over flying. i’ve always thought this was just a pure form of happiness, but i wonder what it really means.

I had a dream where suddenly I see myself flying in a space shuttle next to a girl whom I don’t know so well in real life. I was flying in space around the moon then back to earth, zooming through the sky scrapers (which was my favorite part) then back to the space station unharmed. It felt so real!

I have this dream about flying by energy wavelengths. I used energy from the trees, ground and other people to fly. There was death in the dreams of others if they took too much of your energy. It was more like a movie however I was living in the movie…. feeling all the sensations and emotions that undertook considering the fight for flight and let alone just the living of life.

I have been having this dream many times that whenever I’m encountered with some kind of danger or evil, and I have no way out to escape, I start to fly…

I often have flying dreams. Taking off is my favorite part because I only have to give myself a little push off and I just float upwards.
In the beginning when I first started having them I had difficulty staying afloat. I would push off with no problem but slowly lose altitude. After a while it got much easier once I taught myself what to do and what not to do. Now I rise into the air and am able to do dips and turns and several manuvers.
In my flying dreams I always seem to be flying to elude someone or to help someone. I never have a fear of falling, I never feel for my life even when I am eluding someone and even though I was shot and hit (on my hand) this afternoon in a dream I felt no pain and saw no blood. It does bother me that I never really seem to fly anywhere exotic or beautiful and when I wake from these types of dreams I always feel like I have a headache and that my blood pressure is too high ( I have have high blood pressure). Other than that I look forward to having my Lucid flying dreams.

I recently had a flying dream and I was in a hotel, I was flying through oversized corridors but could not adjust my height to fly under door frames.
I flew past my best friend and her family, I had various friends in rooms I flew past.
There was also something slightly sinister or scary, or it felt it.
I often have flying dreams and have regularly had them inside buildings more recently and adjusting the height I fly is sometimes hard and bringing myself back down to the ground.

I have a flying dream about once per month. I’m aware of my feelings in my dream while flying. I’m not looking at myself or too much detail below. It is about being free physically, mentally, and spiritually from everything that binds me. A part of my ego also wants to show everyone I can fly. But it is mostly the freedom as I feel so trapped by many of life’s circumstances.
