It may contain or represent, wild animals (instincts), fairies or elemental beings (unconscious energy), the potential for physical or spiritual healing, inner guide. It can refer to innocence (a babe in the woods) or to a situation not yet resolved. You may be so bogged down in some issue that you cant see the forest for the tree. The sacred grove, a uterine symbol, always had a pillar or a stone inside it, representing the male element for balance or unity.

I had a dream that I was running through a forest with my brother and his girlfriend. It was dark, but the plants were so vividly and beautifully green. My brother and his girlfriend were running behind me, and before I know it I literally leap into a large ditch and this large ditch is filled with nightshade, the plant that is poisonous if you eat it. I said, ” I would jump into a pile of poisonous plants!” and I jumped out, and woke up.
